Nickel (Ni) in plasma

Nickel is the most saturated green in the collection, and unusually it is the whole vessel that goes green rather than just the cord: a pale ring with a deep emerald core filling the flask behind it. The colour is nickel doing the work, its brightest lines crowd the green between 490 and 548 nm with the strongest at 547.7. At the top of the drive the ring bleaches to white and the green survives only in the middle.
