Neon (Ne) in plasma

The reference red. Neon radiates through a dense thicket of lines between 585 and 700 nm and the eye integrates them into the orange-red that has meant "neon" since the first commercial signs of the 1910s. Nothing else in this collection reaches that saturation without a dopant.
